To minimise my web space and your download time. This software isn't supplied with the VB6 runtime libraries.

If you encounter problems running this software try downloading the full install of UI-Path32 which will contain all the necessary VB6 runtime libraries.

In Use, Setup
=============

1) Select a map from your UI-View collection by clicking on the yellow folder icon at the bottom on the screen
2) Click on the map where you wish to enter a object.
3) Enter a object name, press enter
4) Enter the message text (this is sent a message to the station asking for the info), press enter

And the object is now setup. You can test it by sending a message to yourself with a question mark followed by the object name in the text of the message.

In Use, Mobile
==============

Typical usege could be a mobile comes into the area looking for a petrol station. That user sends ?PETROL

The following stations respond with messages to the mobile

G7AAA Send ?PETROL For Info
G7BBB Send ?PETROL For Info

The mobile can then send a message to either G7AAA or G7BBB depending which is closer, to get the location (via an object) of the local petrol station

Broadcast
=========

UI-InfoKiosk listens to the messages transmitted over the air for any information it can supply. As mentioned above

For example if someone sends out ?SHOP to G7OCW any other stations in the area will also respond with a message to that station to indicate that they can also supply information local to there area on that topic.

Internal Commands
=================

?INFO Returns all user defined commands (aka ??)
?TIME Returns Local Time/Date
?DATE Returns Local Time/Date

Suggestions
===========

Possible Object Names with some example messages (Obviously specific to my location!)

SHOP 	 Telford Town Centre
POLICE 	 The Local Police Station
RAILWAY  The Local Train Station
BANK 	 Cash Card Point
TOURIST  Ironbridge George Museum
2RPT 	 GB3VT 144.725 Mhz
70RPT1 	 GB3TF 433.200 Mhz
70RPT2 	 GB3WV 433.000 Mhz
HOSP     Princess Royle
HAM      Hadon Communications
CLUB Telford District Amateur Radio Society
PUB      The Mill House
HOTEL    The Moat House
FOOD     The Mill House
PETROL   ASDA Garage
UNI1     Wolves UNI Main Campus
UNI2     Wolves UNI Priorslee Campus
RALLY    Sun 2 Sep
CINEMA   UCI

In the above examples you see that there is a 70RPT1 70RPT2 this is an example of where you can set-up more than one object of the same type. A station would then get information on both repeaters by sending ?70RPT or ?7 for short.

Objects of the same type are abreviated in response to ?INFO so for example ?70RPT1 ?70RPT2 upto ?70RPT99 would have just ?70RPT returned in the message

If you come up with something which you think is worth adding to the list let me know.
